Deepwater Surveys

Deepwater surveys are playing an increasing role in the continuing expansion of the oil and gas industry.  The operation of high resolution cameras, sediment samplers and water column profilers through over 1000m of water presents their own set of unique challenges and problems.  Fugro Environmental are rising to meet this challenge by consistently and successfully operating sophisticated equipment that is capable of operating in extreme conditions.

Fugro Environmental are capable of conducting both fully comprehensive environmental baseline surveys and habitat mapping surveys in water depths up to 1500m or more.

From acquiring water profiles through 1000m of water, box coring in 1200m or gathering digital images and video footage of the seabed from the shore line down to 1500m, Fugro Environmental have the team and equipment to get the job done.

Fugro Environmental have completed deepwater surveys within the following locations:

  • Mediterranean (1150m)
  • Red Sea (850m)
  • South Atlantic Ocean (1450m)
  • North Sea, West of Shetland (500 – 1000m)
  • Gulf of Guinea, West Africa (1000m)
  • Gulf of Mexico (1500m)
