Fugro Survey Limited wins one of the prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards for 2007

Aberdeen, UK, 26th April 2007

Fugro Survey Limited has won one of the most prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards for 2007.

The President’s Award will be presented at a special ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, National Exhibition Centre, on Tuesday 22 May 2007, which runs alongside Safety and Health Expo 2007, the UK’s premier health and safety at work exhibition.

David Rawlins, RoSPA Awards Manager, said “Fugro Survey Limited has demonstrated how seriously it takes health and safety management and is a fine example to many other companies. We would like to see more organisations following its lead”.

Ali Sutherland, Fugro Survey Limited’s QHSE Manager said: “Receiving a Gold Award for ten consecutive years resulting in the President’s Award is a great honour for the company and is testament to the hard work and attitude displayed by all members of staff when it comes to health and safety. Nothing is more important than the health and safety of our employees”.

The RoSPA awards are not just about reducing the number of accidents and cases of ill-health at work; they help to ensure that organisations have good health and safety management systems in place. Entering the awards scheme reinforces the message that good health and safety is good business and clearly demonstrates an organisation’s commitment to the achievement of high levels of performance in this crucial area.

The RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2007 are sponsored by NEBOSH (The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health), the leading health and safety professional examining body.

The President of RoSPA, Baroness Anne Gibson of Market Rasen; Deputy President, Lord Jordan of Bournville and Vice-President, Lord Brougham and Vaux will host gala dinners on May 22-24 for representatives of award-winning organisations at the Hilton Metropole Hotel, with entertainment by top comedian Jimmy Carr.
