FUGRO SURVEY LIMITED has a formal HSE Policy and Quality Policy. These policies are displayed on all vessel and office notice boards and they are readily available to all employees via the IMS. Policies are provided to clients on request. Personnel are notified of any changes made to policy statements. The Company as a minimum, complies with all relevant international health, safety and environmental protection legislation.
Although some legislation excludes sea going ships covered by regulations of the country of vessel registration, the Company believes that the HSE management principles and practices embodied in it represent sound management philosophy. It will therefore comply with that legislation as far as is reasonably practicable.

FUGRO SURVEY LIMITED is an active member of the Seismic Contractors Committee of the International Association of Geophysical Contractors (IAGC) and has contributed to their work on improved safety management and environmental protection systems.
FUGRO SURVEY LIMITED is also an active member of the IAGC Step Change Party Chief Network.
Since 1989 up to and including 1999, FUGRO SURVEY LIMITED received annual Target Zero Safety Achievement awards from Shell UK for the performance of all vessels operated under contract to Shell.
FUGRO SURVEY LIMITED operates its own Annual Safety Awards Scheme for personnel who have made positive suggestions which contribute to improving safety in our daily working practices offshore and onshore.
FUGRO SURVEY LIMITED has been awarded the Gold Award by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for the years 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.
FUGRO SURVEY LIMITED has been awarded the RoSPA President’s Award for an outstanding performance in health and safety at work over a period of 10 years.

FUGRO SURVEY LIMITED has a hierarchy of reporting systems which ensure that QHSE related issues are monitored at all levels of the organisation. QHSE performance is addressed at each of the following meetings:

• Project briefing and debriefing meetings;
• Project Kick-off meetings;
• Weekly production meetings;
• Monthly Departmental safety meetings;
• Managers meetings;
• Quarterly Management Review meetings.

Internal auditing is a key component of the FUGRO SURVEY LIMITED IMS.
Internal auditors have been trained and a planned, systematic, audit schedule is maintained to audit all business processes on an annual basis.
Each of the Company's permanent vessels is audited annually. When ad-hoc vessels are used, they are audited before operations commence. Internal HSE audits of the office/workshop premises are also conducted. External specialists are employed to assist in audits where considered appropriate.
