As a matter of company policy, all field personnel are required to have attended OPITO Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training courses.
Records are maintained to ensure all personnel attend refresher courses in accordance with UKOOA guidelines. Emphasising the target of continued,
year-on-year improvements in QHSE performance, we continue to adopt relevant industry initiatives and the company invests heavily in a broad range
of staff training courses from general HSE awareness courses through to discipline-specific training.
The Company's commitment towards continual improvement in QHSE performance is demonstrated by the extensive training programmes much of our staff
have undertaken, given the substantial investment this clearly represents. The Company's QHSE Manager and QHSE officer are both experienced and
NeBOSH qualified.
In addition to training and regular meetings, toolbox talks as an example, general awareness of QHSE matters are widely promoted through regular
bulletins/newsletters resulting in a well-established culture.
Fugro Survey Limited provides extensive training that well exceeds hydrocarbon industry minimum requirements. Training is provided as a mixture of
external and in-house courses, and is managed by our HR professionals. In addition, the company has access to, and utilises, the Fugro Academy which
proved a wide range of e-learning and classroom based training for Fugro personnel around the world.
The company has invested in the SkillsXP competency database system for management of competency within the workforce. This defines competency levels
for all roles within the organisation and allows for regular evaluation of individuals against their required competencies. This forms an integral part
of the Staff Development Review process allowing identification of objectives for progression and a clear career path within the company. The company
also has a policy of encouraging all personnel to pursue membership of professional associations and actively support this.
